Team Leader Data Collection with Urban Forestry Staff: Mt Tabor Park

Thursday, July 18 2019

WHAT: Join Urban Forestry staff for additional tree inventory data collection off the beaten track! We will be identifying, measuring, and mapping trees in parks across Portland that don't appear on our weekly volunteer schedule. These parks tend to include mixed-use developed and natural area terrain. Hone your point placement skills and walk off-trail in some of Portland's largest parks alongside tree Inventory staff.

WHERE: Mt Tabor Park, 6220 SE Salmon St, Portland OR 97215
We will be meeting near the entrance by the community garden at SE 64th and Lincoln.

WHEN: Thursday, July 18th
AM - 8am-11am
PM - 12:30pm-2:30pm
Join us for a morning or afternoon shift.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Work with Urban Forestry staff and interns to collect tree inventory data. Parks and terrain will be more variable than developed parks seen on the weekly volunteer schedule. Please wear close-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Long pants are recommended. We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, water bottle, and your team leader manual. Snacks will not be provided.

***NOTE*** This opportunity is for team leaders only. Thank you!
