Arbor Day Celebration
Saturday, October 18 2025
Location: Sacajawea Head Start – 4800 NE 74th Ave
Time: 10 AM - 2 PM
Come help make Arbor Day 2025 an even more inclusive, family friendly, community celebration. This year, in addition to the Yard Tree Giveaway and Learning Landscapes Community Tree Planting, we will be setting up a variety of engaging and fun activity booths ranging from deep dives into the science of Urban Forest management, to whimsical tree-inspired family fun. We will definitely need your help in supporting all of these activities.
Join us in a day of joy, community knowledge sharing & legacy building and let's make this Arbor Day another resounding success!
We'll need a volunteer experienced with Tree ID to support this Tree ID educational activity.

We'll need up to two volunteers to support a staff member in educating attendees about the Tree Canopy disparities that exist here in Portland and the work Urban Forestry is doing to address those problems by building Tree Equity.
We'll need two volunteers to help manage this fun little coloring activity.
We'll need two volunteers to help manage this fun and regulating sensory activity.
