CRCL's Rutherford Beach Dune Grass Planting
November 19th, 2022
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Creole, LA
The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) invites you to participate in our Rutherford Beach Dune Restoration event on November 18th at Rutherford Beach in Creole, LA. In November 2021, this project was initiated with the installation of sand fencing and 10,000 plugs of native beach grass (bitter panicum). To complete this project, we will be working to install more sand fencing and planting an additional 10,000 plugs of native beach grass, and we need your help! This project will assist in growing and stabilizing beach dunes with the intention of preventing future erosion and creating wildlife habitats.
