Natural History Book Club

Sunday, July 10 2022

Hello Group: We've decided to reschedule this week's meeting until the following Sunday at the same time, but at a new place. Because it's July 4th holiday this weekend, we'll meet on July 10, 2022 at 2pm instead. Also, because we're heading into the daily afternoon showers trend and Cafe Du Monde has been crowded and loud, we are meeting at fellow member Ann's house for the concluding Meeting of Dr. Hastings' book, Lakes of Pontchartrain. Ann's address is 5374 Laurel St. New Orleans, LA 70115 and she can be reached by email at amplicqu@my.uno.edu if you have any questions. Of course, let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing all of you that can, next week!

Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions for our next read. As of now, I propose we delve into Cane River Bohemia: Cammie Henry and Her Circle at Melrose Plantation and explore some fascinating history of some influential minds in Central Louisiana at the turn of the 20th century, including Caroline Dormoin, Ms. Cammie's best friend. However, I'm always open to suggestions- just trying to keep it Louisiana related and natural history themed- but with an obvious loose interpretation. Updated flyer with new date and local is attached.

Thank you,

Tres
