moderator Bev Chase will meet at the picnic tables to discuss, “Bayou-Diversity” by Kelby Ouchley. Louisiana’s bayous and their watersheds teem with cypress trees, alligators, crawfish, and many other life forms. Conservationist Kelby Ouchley reveals the bayou’s intricate web or flora and fauna through a collections of essays about Louisiana’s natural history. Human interaction with the bayou and our role in its survival will determine the future of these intricate ecosystems.
