BR Audubon Society Meeting

Thursday, February 10 2022

Please join Baton Rouge Audubon for our monthly program this Thursday 2/10.

This month's speaker is Dr. Dawn O'Neal, the new executive director of Audubon Delta.
Summary: Across the Mississippi flyway, Audubon is working to protect and restore habitat through natural climate solutions, natural infrastructure projects, and climate policies. Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas are a microcosm of the work happening across the flyway and the nation, and we will explore how the region is coming together as Audubon Delta to build a network of resilience to reverse the declines in bird populations and to protect our communities from the impacts of a changing climate.

Please note that we are going to try a hybrid meeting this month. We will meet in person at the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center education building 10533 N. Glenstone Place, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. Note that this is NOT the main entrance to Bluebonnet Swamp; it's one street south on the right. The education building is located at the back of the loop. There is a large mural on the building.

We'll have social interaction and refreshments from 6:30 to 7:00pm and then Dr. O'Neal will join us via Zoom at 7:00 pm. You are welcome to join just for the Zoom session from home.
