Pontchartrain Conservancy : Cypress Potting at Bucktown Nursery

We are seeking volunteers to help us pot over 2,500 bare root cypress seedlings in our native tree nursery! After nurturing these seedlings in the nursery, they will be planted in wetland habitats throughout the Lake Pontchartrain Basin as part of our coastal restoration efforts.
Our nursery is located in the lot next to the Brown Foundation, 320 Metairie-Hammond Hwy. Free parking is available in the Brown Foundation parking garage. The entrance to the garage is around the corner off Seminole Avenue. Street parking along Metairie-Hammond Hwy is also available.
