On the second Saturday of each month, we will be hosting Trail Maintenance Work Days at the Sankofa Wetland Park & Nature Trail (at 6401 Florida Avenue). Volunteer groups will be helping us build trails, pick up trash and clear weeds.
We believe this is a great opportunity to get outside, make a significant long term impact in the Lower Ninth Ward and have fun while doing it!
The next event will take place on Saturday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
This is a family-friendly event and individuals of all ages are welcome to attend.
Trail Maintenance Work Days will be in accordance with current COVID-19 safety guidelines to protect all individuals. Protection includes wearing masks, social distancing and proper sanitation of any shared equipment.
