LMNGNO- Northlake Nature Center Service Day
Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9am til 3pm
The Northlake Nature Center is one of your premiere learning sites for the LMNGNO
certification program. We are committed to opening your eyes to the beauty of nature and
the many attributes that the NNC has to offer. Here is your opportunity to learn more as
you give back to the non-profit center.
We will have many different projects available to volunteer for. All of your efforts are
sincerely appreciated. Some on-going needy help is needed to:
1. Paint non-slip/protective coats of paint on guard rails and boardwalks,.
2. Chain-saw those pestie Chinese Talos and their families.
3. Place tree identification markers on the trails
4. Work on the bridge that will connect the south loop with the parking lot
5. Plant long-leaf pine seedlings
What to bring/ wear:
1. Lunch
2. Chain-saws and extra gas
3. Work gloves
4. Waterproof boots
5. Layer for the weather
