Meet in the Visitors Center at 10:00 AM
Carpool from Lakeside Shopping Center at 8:30 AM
Meet on the ramp into the Macy’s parking garage.
Entry Fee includes Staff Guided Tour:
Adults - $8
Seniors (over 55) - $ 7
We must have a minimum of ten. (Please bring an
additional $5 for a tip for our guide.)
Continuing Education hours
are pre-approved.
Lunch: Fontaine Wells has graciously
invited us to her vacation home as the
location for our lunch. Bring your own
meal to eat at her Cabin in the Woods.
She will provide beverages and dessert.
There are hiking trails onher property for
an afternoon stroll.
Depart: 2:30ish PM
Directions to Crosby Arboretum:
Take I-10 East for 31 miles. Merge onto I-59
North. Go 16 miles to Exit 4, Picayune/Kiln.
Bear right onto MS-43 South. At the first light,
turn right onto Frontage Road. Immediately,
turn right onto Ridge Road. The Arboretum
is 1.2 miles down this road, on your right.
Directions to the Cabin in the Woods,
201 Rovira Road: Follow landmarks, roadsigns are scarce.
Return to I-59 North. Exit at MS 43/Sycamore
Road. Turn left. Go 14 miles. Pass a closed
BP station on your RIGHT. Take the next
right, Henley Field Road. The Pinetucky Baptist
will be on your left. After 1.5 miles, turn left
onto Carey Byrd Road. After another mile or
so, turn right after a long black fence onto
Rovira Road. The Wells’ driveway is on the
left after 10 or 12 other driveways. Turn left
into the drive flanked by white wooden fences
marked by BIG BRANCH and 201.
