Easter Baskets for Children in Need (Parish Service)
Sunday, April 07 2019
A wonderful way to experience tech free family time is to work together in service to those in need. There are several advocacy organizations that work with children in crisis (Norwalk Dept of Children and Families, Breakthrough Options, Thorpe Family Residence). So why not put down the electronic devices and take on this project as a family to provide an Easter Basket for a child in crisis.
Each family is asked to use a 12" in diameter Easter Basket and fill it with the following items. Wrap it in cellophane and tie it with a festive ribbon. Then, bring your basket to tour Never Too Young to Serve gathering where the children will make Easter cards and we will pray for the families. Bring your basket and then our confirmation students will act as leaders for our younger disciples at this event. Earn whatever time it takes to prepare the basket and plus 1 hour for working the event!
Donuts, Juices Boxes and Coffee will be served!
