Diocese of Bridgeport Chrism Mass

On Holy Thursday morning, the bishop, joined by the priests of the diocese, gather at the St. Augustine Cathedral to celebrate the Chrism Mass at 10:00 a.m. This Mass manifests the unity of the priests with their bishop and is a very special Mass where our confirmation students can witness the blessing of the Holy Chrism Oil that the Bishop will use at their Confirmation Mass. This is a parent/child opportunity. All who attend may claim 1.5 hours of spiritual work of mercy or parish/diocese service. You should arrive at the Cathedral by 9:45 am to be seated. The address of the cathedral is 359 Washington Avenue in Bridgeport.
