Repair Riding Mower

A Ridgeline dad came on the weekend to use the riding mower and he believes it blew a gasket and will need repair. He had just started mowing when a cloud of white smoke came out of the mower and it died. There is oil in the pan and it won't run for more than 30 seconds or so.
