Veggie Slicing Day (Stone Soup Prep)

Students will bring vegetables to school on Thursday, November 20. We rely on having 2 or more volunteers in each classroom, to help assist students with washing, slicing, and storing the prepped veggies. Our volunteer cooks will then have the fresh ingredients ready to go, in order to make the soup the next morning. The day before preparation is a key part of our community Stone Soup meal and it's a lot of fun helping in the classroom!
*Classroom volunteer times are subject to change. This is an initial best guess and times will be confirmed as the date gets closer. Thank you for being flexible!
If you are not able to volunteer your time this year, but you want to help support Stone Soup, consider being a "propane tank sponsor". We are seeking 4-5 individuals or families to help cover the cost to fill these for each portable cook stove or loan Ridgeline a full propane tank for the day. The cost to fill a propane tank is $20-25. Please stop by the Ridgeline front office by Monday, November 10, and make your gift via cash or check. Thank you in advance for helping make this event happen.
