Grandparents' and Grand-Friends Day 2024 - Preparation
Thursday, September 19 2024
One of the most anticipated events of the year is almost here! We are very excited to celebrate the wonderful Grandparents and Grand-Friends in our students' lives. This event brings together hundreds of Lincoln Academy's finest, so we will need "All Hands on Deck!" This is a very popular event to volunteer, so pick your spots early! Keep in mind we MUST prep as much as we can the night before. We will have a food donation table at morning dropoff on Thursday, September 19, and at pickup on Thursday afternoon. If you forget to bring at either of those times, last minute dropoff is at 6pm in the student center on Thursday evening. Please include your first and last name when you sign up.
As a reminder -- only those parents who volunteer are able to attend. We simply don't have space for all our parents since we usually have more than 600 attendees!
THANK YOU!!

Help receive and collect donations, then transport them to the proper storage location for preparation.
We are in need of someone to fold and collate the programs! We can pass everything to you on Thursday morning (and possibly before then). We would need all folded programs returned by pick up time on Thursday afternoon (3:30pm).
We will need a volunteer to pick up bagels at Einstein's (80th/Wadsworth) at 2pm on Thursday afternoon. Einstein's closes at 2:15pm. Please deliver to school at afternoon pickup.
We will need volunteers with a truck or trailer to move 200 chairs from Arvada Rent-All to Lincoln Academy.
Help receive and collect donations, then transport them to the proper storage location for preparation.
Mini, Regular , or Costco Size will work!
Costco or King Soopers fruit trays would be wonderful! Or if you'd like to put together your own fruit tray, please label any serving dishes that you want back.
THANK YOU!!
Plastic/Disposable needed, can be purchased at the Dollar Store.
Volunteers will be provided with completed decorations and direction for set up from Lauren or Mia.
We'll need help with a variety of tasks in student center and the gym and help with signage. More hands make light work!
Volunteers will need to bring knives and cutting boards to help prep food for Friday morning. The more people we have to help set up food and arrange pastry platters, the sooner we can all go home!
Swing by Costco or Grocery Store for any last minute items we may need.
