Cross Cultural Alliance: Firefighters Appreciation Lunch
Saturday, April 20 2024
Firefighters provide rapid care and transport in times of emergency. Most people do not realize the extent of medical services they provide in a pre-hospital setting. When a heart stops, or a serious bodily injury occurs: seconds count. Courageous firefighters stabilize our patients day after day and enable physicians and other healthcare providers to perform our jobs.
The event involves making and delivering lunch to community fire stations in appreciation of their service. We would like to have the volunteers fill 4 different roles: making thank-you cards, making food, delivering food/clean up, and managing the event at the different stations.
Students in this role will oversee each location event, ensuring food and thank you cards are delivered on time to a specific fire station and will assist with cleanup.
Students will sign up for a dish that will be delivered to one of seven fire stations. The dish must feed 5-10 people.
Students will deliver food to one of seven fire stations and clean up afterward.
Students will design thank-you cards to be delivered to each fire station.
