Bike Prep at Ohio City Bicycle Co-op

Saturday, March 21 2020

HandsOn volunteers will help out the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op by sorting used bike parts and prepping bikes for repair. No bicycle knowledge or experience required! Modifications to the project may be made to accommodate volunteers with limited mobility.

The Ohio City Bicycle Co-op (OCBC) promotes the use of bicycles in greater Cleveland and engage area youth and adults in cycling activities that foster independence, resourcefulness, and good health. The OCBC works to accomplish this by offering safe cycling and bike repair education, Earn A Bike programs, and a consumer's cooperative bike shop; by providing dependable used bikes and accessories; and by producing cycling events and tours that impart skills while encouraging riding for fun, fitness and practical transportation.

Wear old clothes that can get dirty and closed toe shoes. Volunteers may be working outdoors so dress appropriately for the weather. Bringing a bottle of water and wearing sunscreen is recommended for summer sessions.
