Check in skaters rinkside for events and practice ice, open & close the rink door for the skaters, and communicate between officials and skaters. Look out for skater safety during the practice ice session. Contact medical team, as needed. Please report no later than 5min. before your scheduled time to exchange info with the monitor on duty. Some of the scheduled times may start or end with an ice resurface. The monitor must be on duty to check in skaters even during resurfaces. Wear warm clothing. Sell wrist bands, greet attendees, give directions, general information.

Supervise the locker room area to help ensure that locker room policies are being observed. You must be an adult female to volunteer for this position. SafeSport training recommended – extra hours given for training. Area chair: E.J. Easlick, ejslick@icloud.com.

Check in skaters and coaches for competition. Sell pins, programs, results. Answer any and all inquiries from guests. Help with event clean-up.

At end of event pick up judges papers rinkside, take to accounting room for copying, distribute copies to various locations. Cannot be a result runner for events in which a family member, partner, coach or student is competing. Area Chair: E.J. Easlick, ejslick@icloud.com.

Help clean up the glass room and put away supplies. Area Chair: Bonnie Shay, bshay@umich.edu

Help break down the accounting room. Move small boxes, put away accounting room supplies, etc. Reports to EJ Easlick, ejslick@icloud.com

Help take down and put away judges' stands. Strong helpers. Bring work gloves.

Transportation for 4 leaving the Cube on Sunday October 21 at about 1:00 PM going back to DTW. The time on this trip is flexible - can leave anytime from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. 4 hours credit in volunteer hours given. Contact: Jim Achtenberg, jacht@umich.edu.
