Native Tree Planting in Alexandria's Tarleton Park

Sunday, October 01 2023

Whether you are an experienced tree steward or a tree steward trainee, come lend a hand planting native trees in Alexandria's Tarleton Park.

We will gather at 8:45am for sign-in and kick off the planting at 9:00am sharp with a tree planting lesson/review and safety talk.

For newbies, we will cover both the "how" and the "why" of planting, staking/tying, mulching, and watering.

We will be working with 5- and 7-Gallon container trees.

For those that are interested, we can also discuss the ins and outs of initiating tree plantings and other projects in the City of Alexandria.

We will be meeting up on the residential street that abuts Tarleton Park. Please use the following street address for your GPS, 4507 Holmes Run Parkway, Alexandria, VA 22304, and then park on the West side of the street (the park side of the street).
