Over the last few years TS have planted tree whips along Four Mile Run in Arlington's Bon Air Park to mitigate flood damage. Our task is to assess how many are surviving and any deer browse evidence. Please come prepared to encounter ticks, mosquitoes, hot weather and difficult footing; there are no restrooms or drinking water nearby so come prepared. Species planted were red maple, american sycamore, black willow, riverbirch, swamp white oak but other volunteer species such as ash, mulberry are present. Bring your tree guide.
