Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria

Summer departs, but the invasives don't. We have plenty of work to do along Four Mile Run in Dominion Hills, Arlington. We'll be doing battle this week and would love to have your help.
We have garlic mustard, smartweed, Himalayan blackberry, vines (multiple species), and ground covers to address. The weather should be reasonably decent so we hope to get a lot done. There is some poison ivy here and there, and some thorny plants in some spots, so wear sturdy clothes and shoes (long pants and long sleeves). (We will have soap and poison ivy wipes in case anybody accidentally touches any.)
Bring water for yourself, and bring your own gloves and tools, if you have them. (Weeding hand tools will come in handy.) Otherwise, we will have gloves and tools to lend. We will also have snacks!
Gather by 1000 Patrick Henry Dr., Arlington (look for the Volunteers sign). There is plenty of street parking.
