Vine removal from tiny forest trees at Douglas Park
Saturday, September 27 2025
Many of you helped plant seedlings with Urban forestry to create a tiny forest at Douglas Park a few years back. Jennifer Soles, a Natural Resource Specialist with Arlington County, mentioned that there are lots of vines growing on these trees which need to be removed. Therefore, we are soliciting volunteers to help us remove the vines. Once the vines are removed (which should only a take about an hour depending on the number of volunteers) Jen will give a talk about Tree of Heaven and Spotted Lantern Flies. Please sign up on Track It Forward if you plan to participate.
Douglas Park is located at 1718 South Quincey Street in Arlington

Steve Geiger
