Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria

Structural pruning training is mandatory for any TS who wishes to prune on public street trees or in parks. In Arlington County, those who take this training can join the pruning program and have an area of the county assigned for them to monitor, and organize group pruning work days. The Alexandria program is getting started and TS are encouraged to take the training now so as to be ready. Alexandria staff are anticipated at the evening program and field day.

Training consists of attendance at the in person Wednesday, June 4 evening session led by Jim McGlone. 5:30 - 8:30 PM at Trades Center small conference room, 2700 S. Taylor St. There will be a hands on training also on Saturday, June 14 from 9 - 11am at Madison Manor Park, Meet near playground, 6225 12th Road N, Arlington

For those who can't make the evening program, they can view a video with quiz that must be sent to Melissa Gildea before the field session. Field session Sat. 14 is required. Please note on sign up if you need the video link.
