Parks Canada - Garry Oak Ecosystem Restoration

Saturday, January 27 2018

at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites.

As an Ecosystem Restoration Volunteer, you will help Parks Canada restore endangered Garry Oak ecosystems at beautiful Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites! Our program runs year-round and volunteer activities vary seasonally. Activities include weed pulls, planting native plants, harvesting/cleaning seeds, helping out in our native plant nursery, shoreline clean-ups and opportunities to help out with special events such as BioBlitz! Gain hands-on experience in ecosystem restoration, enjoy the outdoors, learn about Garry Oak ecosystems and species at risk, meet friendly people and build your resumé! The more often you come, the more experience you will gain!

***Any unexcused absences from pre-registered events will make students ineligible for the certificate
