Photo Contest Gallery Sitting

Victoria Arts Council is running a Monday Magazine Photo Contest and volunteers are needed for Gallery Sitting shifts:
• Welcome guests into the space and greet them as they enter
• Keep a running tally of how many gallery visitors arrive during your shift
• Answer questions as they arise to the best of your abilities – if there is something you cannot answer or are unsure of please refer the guest to our website at: www.vicartscouncil.ca or email us at arts@vicartscouncil.ca
• If artists with winning submissions arrive and ask to claim their prize, check their photo ID to ensure you it is the correct artist and then you may give them their prize
• Ensure the Gallery is kept tidy. If a guest, artist or volunteer (unlikely, right team!) leaves a mess, please clean it up!
• Direct guests with questions about becoming members of the VAC to our printed brochures. If you notice the brochures are low, please let a staff member know so we may stock them.
