JA Biztown in Newark (5th and 6th grade)
Tuesday, March 18 2025
Our 5th and 6th grade students are going to JA Biztown! We need 12 parent volunteers to spend the day with them. JA Biztown is a unique learning experience that allows students to connect the dots between what they are learning at school and what it's like in the real world. Students will enter into a simulated town and operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. To learn more: https://centralohio.ja.org/programs/ja-biztown
Parent volunteers will meet at the JA Learning Center of Newark at 1440 Granville Road at 8:30am for a parent orientation prior to the day beginning. Students will arrive by bus at 9:30am. Please plan on bringing a packed lunch. Thank you in advance for helping make this an incredible day for our students!
***IMPORTANT- All volunteers must have completed the Protecting God's Children training and have a BCI (& FBI if Ohio Resident for less than 5 years) on file with the Diocese of Columbus.
