Saturday, July 21
9AM - 11:15AM
Intersection of Alpine Road and Piers Lane, Portola Valley, CA

Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/san-francisquito-creek-monitoring-registrat...

Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a parent to approve the online waiver when you register for this event, and children under 12 require an accompanying adult.

What: Starting at the trailhead to The Dish on Alpine Road and Piers Lane, we will visit 5 sites on San Francisquito Creek to gather data on pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, specific conductance and turbidity. You are responsible for arranging for your own transportation. We will work our way down from the upper watershed to the lower watershed and hope to finish up by 11:15 am or so; we may finish earlier. No experience is needed; we will train you. Come enjoy and learn about our beautiful creeks while you collect data to protect their health.

When: Saturday, July 21, from 9:00 am to 11:15 am. We may finish earlier, or later depending on which sites have water. Please arrive on time as we will leave the Dish Trailhead when we finish monitoring there and carpool to the other sites on San Francisquito Creek.

Where: Meet at the dirt pullout at Alpine Road and Piers Lane/the trailhead to The Dish. We will be doing the water quality monitoring from the nearby bridges.

Please bring: A reusable water bottle. You will not be getting into the creek, but it is best to wear comfy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

No shifts have been set up for this event yet.
