As part of ongoing education to address climate change, Citizens’ Climate Lobby presents guest speakers monthly that are live streamed at local chapter meetings. Additionally, at these monthly gatherings we celebrate successes and prepare for upcoming volunteer opportunities. The meetings for the San Mateo County Chapter are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center - 800 Foster City Blvd in Foster City from 9:30-11:30am. First time attendees are invited to a brief orientation from 9:10-9:30.

Who is CCL? It is a national, mostly volunteer run, non-profit, non-partisan grassroots advocacy organization focused on national polices to address climate change. Their goal is to influence policy makers to enact a carbon pricing policy called Carbon Fee and Dividend. Recently the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution to endorse this CCL policy and is supportive of the activities of this group in our county.
