Lake Superior Youth Symposium- workshops

Friday, May 17 2019

Information:

The Lake Superior Youth Symposium is an interdisciplinary workshop and field trip experience for 350 8th-12th grade students and their teachers. The purpose is to bring together students to experience the science, art, culture and challenges of protecting one of the greatest bodies of freshwater on the planet - Lake Superior.

The event is is a collaborative partnership with groups such as Sea Grant, the EPA, DNR, and the Fond Du Lac Band of Ojibwe, although the event will be on the University of Duluth campus. The Symposium draws high school students bi-nationally from throughout the watershed and beyond. We anticipate 350 youth and their teachers to join us for this unique opportunity.
