Peapack Brook Tree Planting Event

Wednesday, April 26 2023

Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with the Borough of Peapack & Gladstone Environmental Commission to improve the riparian buffer along the Peapack Brook across from the Peapack Train Station and will be planting 180 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on April 26th (rain date April 27th).

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. The Borough DPW will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register below. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release and Photo Release form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org

Dress for the weather and working in an area with briars, tall grass and shrubs. Sign up for morning or afternoon shift or both.

The Event will be held across from the Peapack Train Station located at 5 Holland Ave, Far Hills 09731. Please park along the south side of Holland Ave - this is the side of the street that will take you to Main Street in Peapack. The planting site will be at the park linked below:
