Herzog Brook Tree Planting Event - Far Hills, Morris County Day 1

Wednesday, October 28 2026

Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with the Morris County Parks Commission to improve the riparian buffer along the Herzog Brook at the Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center and will be planting 550 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on October 28th and 29th from 9am-1pm both days.

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and Morris County will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Waiver and Photo Release Form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions [email protected] If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at [email protected]
