Raritan Headwaters Association

Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with a private landowner to improve the riparian buffer along the South Branch Rockaway Creek and will be planting 750 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on November 18th and 19th from 9am-1pm both days. We have set aside a rain date of November 20th.

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Waiver and Photo Release Form below. Dress for the weather and working in an area that can be wet—tall boots are recommended.
