Blackpoint Road Tree Planting Event - Branchburg Township, Somerset County RAIN DATE ONLY IF NEEDED
Thursday, November 05 2026
Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with Somerset County Parks Commission and Sourland Conservancy to improve the riparian buffer along the South Branch Raritan River in Branchburg and will be planting 300 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on November 6th from 9:00am – 1:00pm. We have set aside a rain date of November 5th from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and Somerset County Parks Commission will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Waiver and Photo Release Form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions [email protected] If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at [email protected]
