Helen Woodman Preserve Tree Planting Event - Far Hills, Somerset County RAIN DATE ONLY IF NEEDED
Thursday, November 12 2026
Raritan Headwaters Association will be planting at it’s Helen Woodman Preserve to improve the riparian buffer along the North Branch Raritan River in Far Hills and will be planting 425 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on November 11th and 14th from 9:00am – 1:00pm. We have set aside a rain date of November 12th from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Waiver and Photo Release Form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions [email protected] If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at [email protected]
