Raritan Headwaters Association

Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with Roxbury Township to improve the riparian buffer along Horseshoe Lake in Roxbury and will be planting 60 native trees and shrubs along the bank on May 13th from 10am – 12pm. We have set aside a rain date of May 14th from 10am – 12pm if needed.

RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register so we can properly plan. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release  form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Dress for the weather and working in an area with briars, tall grass and shrubs. This project site can be on the wet side, so please bring appropriate footwear (ideally taller boots).
