Capoolong Creek Tree Planting Event - Pittstown
Friday, October 17 2025
Raritan Headwaters Association has partnered with a private landowner to improve the riparian buffer along Capoolong Creek in Pittstown and will be planting 125 native trees and shrubs along the riverbank on October 17th from 9:00am-1:00pm. We have set a rain date for October 20th from 9:00am-1:00pm.
RHA is seeking volunteers to help plant these trees and install tree protection to prevent deer browse. RHA and the landowner will be pre-drilling holes for the trees, so no to very minimal digging will be necessary during the planting. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register to help us with our planning efforts. When registering for this event, please also complete the Volunteer Release form below. We will continue to provide updates by email closer to the event. Please reach out to Restoration Coordinator, Robert Lucas with questions at rlucas@raritanheadwaters.org If you have any questions about volunteering for RHA, please email RHA's Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Newcomb at dnewcomb@raritanheadwaters.org
