For our volunteer task for Day of Caring, the JEO Omaha office will volunteer at the Heartland Food Pantry in the food bank. Food Bank for the Heartland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a vital focus: to provide food to those struggling with hunger in Nebraska and western Iowa, to ultimately eliminate hunger in our communities, and to serve our neighbors with respect, integrity and urgency. The Food Bank serves 93 counties—77 in Nebraska and 16 in western Iowa.

From 1-3:30 PM on Friday, 9/16, JEO's Omaha office will complete the following tasks at the Food Bank for the Hearland:
Sorting donated product
Packaging fresh produce
Packing food packs for the BackPack program
Repackaging bulk donated products
Special projects the Food Bank has identified to support distribution
