Time commitment
Ranges from four to eight-hour shifts (weekdays, summer, throughout the school year, vacation periods, weekends). Opportunities are available year round.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

STEAM Facilitator Assistant
Become an interactive exhibit expert and find new and interesting ways to interact with our visitors and school groups to ensure an exceptional visitor experience. Share your experience and knowledge and encourage visitor interactions with exhibits and questions. Assist with traffic flow and directions. Help assist in covering breaks for other staff or volunteers.

Gallery Specialist
Do you have expertise in areas of Health and Wellness? Are you an Aviation guru? Is sustainability and renewable energies a passion of yours? Interact with visitors to ensure exceptional visitor experiences within specific galleries. Assist with traffic flow and directions. Encourage visitor interactions with exhibits and assist with questions on topics related to gallery themes.

Birthday Assistant
Our Brilliant Birthdays need Brilliant Birthday Volunteers!!! Birthday Assistants will help set up birthday rooms on Friday afternoons and assist the Birthday Host with daily responsibilities and coordination of birthday parties throughout the weekend and ensure exceptional guest experience.

Day Camp Assistant
Kids have so much fun at Discovery Centre camps and you can too! Greet campers as they arrive, help facilitate games, promote good behavior as a role model and encourage following the rules, ensure a fun and safe environment for all.

Event Volunteer
The Discovery Centre has several legacy events throughout the year. This is an opportunity to be a part of promoting STEAM among families, youth, young adults and variety of professionals. Brain War IV takes place this February, which is an incredible opportunity to get started right away.
