Denver Christian School

The Spelling Bee needs volunteers so that it runs smoothly. Please help us out if you can!

For the first hour Volunteers will be needed to help with Check-in, Hallway directions, Crowd Management and receive some brief training.
The second two hours Volunteers will be at an assigned room to monitor.

Here is the event Schedule:

9:15 - 9:45 -     Check in and Registration

9:45 -               Judges Training (Please be prompt in order to start the bee in a timely manner)
                       second floor Lecture Hall

10:00 -             Opening Assembly - all spellers, judges, and guests in the Main Gym

10:30 -             Preliminary Rounds Grades 1-8 (anticipated 1.5 - 2 hours) in various
                       classrooms

12:00 -             Lunch Break - All are welcome to bring their lunch and eat in the main gym.
                       Lunch will not be provided. There are various fast-food options close to the
                       School.

1:00 -               Final Round and Award Ceremony in Main Gym - Top four spellers at each
                       grade level will receive a ribbon during this ceremony in advance of the final
                       spell-off
