Build planters for the school grounds

Saturday, September 24 2022

Help Timothy Chien, a KLS Senior, improve the KLS lower school grounds by building raised planter boxes for his Eagle Scout project! We'll be building and filling four versatile wooden boxes on campus over two work days. Drinks and snacks provided!

WHERE:
Cowper Campus, Palo Alto

WHEN:
Saturday 9/24 12PM - 4PM
Sunday 9/25 2PM - 6PM
If you're interested in helping out on both work days that's great, but in no way is it necessary!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Looking for around 6 volunteers from KLS parents. Children are welcome to help out, but aren't counted towards the 6.

SPECIAL SKILLSET:
Should be able to use a cordless impact driver (handheld drill).

CHILDREN:
If you plan to bring your children to a work day, that's great! We'd love to have their help, but we do need you to sign a simple safety waiver in the highly unlikely case of an accident with the tools.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
Work gloves are strongly recommended, since we'll be working with possibly splinter-y wood. We'll have a few pairs spare, but please try to bring your own, since we may not have enough (or the right sizes) for everyone. Additionally, if you own a cordless impact driver of your own, please bring it!
