Jump! for the Children's Heart Center (Valentine's Day)
Wednesday, February 14 2018
There will be a Valentine's Day event during Extended Day on Wednesday, February 14 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. All KLS families are invited! It will be a jump roping event (similar to “Jump Rope for Heart”) to raise money for The Betty Irene Moore Children's Heart Center at Stanford's Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. The event connects to the IL5 students' term project on service learning, as well as to IL1's service activities on congenital heart disease.
How do students participate?

The fundraising competition (https://khanlabschool.org/jump) is open to all students, IL1 through IL6, and we'll be encouraging older students to help the younger students. Participants who raise the most, who involve the highest number of donors, and who win various jumping competitions will be recognized on Friday, February 16 at KLS as well as in the weekly KLS Insider and on our social media channels. Kids can start fundraising now – encourage friends and family members to contribute at khanlabschool.org/jump and indicate which student(s) they are honoring on the donation form.
Volunteer as a parent:
• Sign up on this Track It Forward page to be a Lead Volunteer or to bring snacks for the snack table
• Donate a fun prize: if you would be willing to donate a toy (especially athletic equipment) to be used as a prize, please contact Kat Clark & drop off at the front desk. We will distribute the awards on Friday, February 16 but would love to have items this week or early next week so we can promote them.
