Can you create fun and compelling gift basket packages for our auction? Do you want to get to know the parents in your child's independence level group better? Then this team is for you! Take the lead for your IL by soliciting, creating, and combining little items into one (or two) auction basket, box, or lot, to be offered up at the silent auction on the night of the event. The theme can be anything of the students' choosing (e.g. tech box, family game night basket, maker box, etc.); you'll just need to coordinate with the lead advisor and IL parent to organize a date and time to vote for the popular choice. Once the basket theme is chosen, you'll be responsible for contacting the group's parents (through the IL rep) to request that each family purchase one item that fits the category or theme. You'll also need to define a drop-off location for the donated items (i.e. a clearly labeled box in the school lobby). Once all donations are received, combine them in a fun and festive manner and create a display placard for the IL that chose and created the basket / package, describing why it was created and what's included.
