Think You’re Helpless Against Chicago’s Violence? Think Again.

Thursday, November 08 2018

On Thursday, November 8, join leaders in Chicago’s anti-violence work and North Shore residents in challenging long held beliefs and gaining practical solutions at “Think You’re Helpless Against Chicago’s Violence? Think Again.” The event, jointly sponsored by Kenilworth Union Church, Winnetka’s Saints Faith, Hope and Charity Parish, and Wilmette’s Saint Francis Xavier Parish features Phil Andrew, Director of Violence Prevention for the Archdiocese of Chicago, and Father Dave Kelly, of Chicago’s Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation.

Andrew and Fr. Kelly will jointly present how suburban citizens can help curb Chicago’s epidemic of violence and conflict by going to undeserved neighborhoods, combining efforts with already existing non-profits, and offering jobs and training opportunities.
