Winter Wonderland Saturday Volunteer Shifts

These shifts will take place on Saturday 12/6 during Winter Wonderland. The shifts involve morning prep, assisting in a variety of booths/activities and clean up.
Setting exterior tables for booths/activites/eating area/check-in, final touches on decor. Earns (2) service hours.
Heating sausage, preparing toppings, serving, rebrew coffee, juice, and milk station, and cleanup. Earns (5) service hours.
Staff the sledding hill. Take tickets/help kids onto sled at top of hill/remove kids from bottom of hill and return sled to top. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Staff Cupcake Walk. Take tickets, explain the rules of the walk, play the music for the allotted time, and pick a winner. Every winner receives a cupcake! Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Ornament craft table. Take tickets and provide support at table. Help kids decorate ornaments. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Take tickets/passes for Misfit Toy Booth. Organize and distribute craft materials. Kids will provide parts and volunteers will sew together. Must be comfortable with basic use of needle and thread. Assist children and families with misfit toy assembly. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Staff Letter booth. Manage supplies, keep work area neat and organized, assist with crafts as needed (e.g. gluing) as families write and decorate letters. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Paint faces/arms/apply glitter. Help oversee HS Volunteers. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Help run Spin the Wheel, take tickets, hand out prize (candy etc.) & document who wins any special days (i.e. free dress). Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Attend pre-shift training on how to use ipad for ticket sales. Check in families who have pre-paid at table outside cafeteria. Sell tickets via iPad/credit card reader. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Staff Festival Snack booth. Take tickets/passes in exchange for yummy treats. Run the popcorn machine, etc. Earns (2.75) Service Hours.
Attend iPad training at beginning of shift. Review the list of people who have prepaid. Sell entrance and photos to those who haven't paid yet. Sell activities tickets. Welcome families and groups into the library for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Manage the line outside. Train the 2nd shift. Earns (3.5) Service Hours.
Bus tables when people leave. Wipe them down. Check floors for spillage and sweep up. Throw away trash, change trash bags in waste bins. Generally keep areas tidy. Check restroom for paper towels and toilet paper restock. Earns (3) Service Hours.
Staff the First Aid booth. Parent with medical background ideal. Earns (3) Service Hours.
Check in with Chair/Co-Chair and Event Managers to assess areas requiring attention (Cafeteria, Sledding Hill, Booths, Boutique). Help wherever is needed. Earns (3) Service Hours.
Welcome families and groups into the library for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Capture photos, print and place them into frames. Distribute photos to families and collect email addresses for digital prints. Will need to attend training on how to use camera at pre-arranged time. Photography experience a plus! Willingness to wear a festive outfit also a plus! Pack photo supplies at end and hand off to Ed Fox. Earns (4) Service Hours.
Breakdown the cafeteria after Pancake breakfast ends, clean tables, floors, put coffee machine, supplies, extra utensils away, etc.. Earns (2) Service Hours.

Check in with Chair/Co-Chair and Event Managers to assess areas requiring attention (Cafeteria, Sledding Hill, Booths, Boutique). Pick up trash, help tidy & get cafeteria back in order. Help wherever is needed. Earns (3) Service Hours.
