Guardians of The Garden

Please help us keep Fisherman's Park Community Garden safe and beautiful! As a Community Garden, we're calling on our community to keep a compassionate and watchful eye on the growing spaces we manage and love.
Volunteers are asked to simply be a safe presence in the Garden. Volunteers may engage in tasks at their own risk and capacity, including but not limited to:
- Collecting trash and disposing of off-site
- Pulling weeds in the areas that are considered walkways and from in between the raised beds, disposing of them off-site
- Reading, resting, or enjoying nature on a park bench
- Being present in the space and enjoying what the Garden has to offer whether that be harvesting produce, picking wildflowers, bird watching, etc.
- Notifying C.R.O.P.S. staff of any criminal activity, or misuse of space
*Volunteers are NOT required to stop vandalism or crime from occurring
*Volunteers are NOT responsible for reporting vandalism or crime to the police
**If you see criminal activity or misuse of the space occurring, please stay a safe distance from the activity, take note of the time, immediately reach out to C.R.O.P.S. staff via email to aflack@cropsnj.org and equarton@cropsnj.org
Thank you for your interest in keeping the garden beautiful and safe!
