UMLAUF Garden Clean Up Info Sheet
We are thrilled to have you volunteer your time in the Garden to clean up and beautify!

What to bring:
o Weather appropriate clothes that can get dirty
o Closed toe shoes
o A hat
o Sunscreen and bug spray
o Gardening gloves encouraged. We have a limited amount for shared use.
o Water bottle (we have a water fountain that you can use for refills)
o Handheld gardening tools such as small shovels, garden forks etc. (optional)
o Paper lawn and leaf bags highly appreciated!
Note: We do not have lockers on site. You are welcome to leave belongings in our staff kitchen if
needed.

Parking:
Please plan to park across the street at Wright Field. It is free. There is a crosswalk that connects the
lot to the UMLAUF entrance. If you need more accessible parking, you may use the ADA-compliant
spots within our lot. Carpool encouraged!

What to expect:

When you arrive, head to the main entrance. An UMLAUF employee will be on the terrace to meet you.
Your tasks for the day may include weeding, removing invasive plants, trash pick-up, pruning, clearing
trails, sculpture cleaning, raking leaves etc.

If you plan to eat before/after, please do so at Zilker Park or across the street at Wright Field. The
UMLAUF does not allow picnics on museum grounds.
