What: “Fall Into Service” Community Volunteer Fair at Northern Virginia Community College

Where: Annandale Campus, 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003, Quad (this is outdoors. Inclement weather indoor space TBA).

When: Monday, October 5, 2015 from 11am-2pm.

Who: Regional non-profit organizations that rely on volunteers to help them provide services to our community and beyond.

Why: So that Northern Virginia Community College can 1) help provide regional non-profit organizations
an opportunity to increase public awareness of its services and to recruit volunteers who are looking to support the cause or serve their community, and 2) encourage NOVA students to get involved and make time for community service.

This volunteer fair will be open not only to NOVA students, faculty, and staff, but it will be promoted to the community-at-large as well. Annandale Campus is NOVA’s largest campus, and the event will take place on the Quad area between buildings where foot traffic is vigorous.

NOVA student clubs and organizations as well as NOVA’s Pathway students have service requirements to fulfill and they will receive special invitation to attend the event. There is also a Zumba event occurring the same day on the campus, so this may result in additional foot-traffic! It is estimated that foot traffic will range from 250-300, but I am always optimistic that it will be even greater.

PARKING
All parking in the B-14 lot is free for the duration of the event. You do NOT need a tag to park in B-14 ONLY. NOTE: if you park in any other lot without a NOVA parking badge you will be ticketed. Note also that B-14 is a bit of a walk, so unloading then parking is recommended (see map).
