Chestnut Tree Planting - Pleasant Grove Park, Fluvanna

We are planting 30 chestnut seedlings to replace some of the trees that were planted last year in the Pleasant Grove Chestnut Restoration Grove. Please bring a shovel, gloves and a hammer. If you have any netting (vegetable/fruit packaging) that can be used to keep birds out of the tubes, please bring it. The address is 271 Pleasant Grove Drive, Palmyra. Turn left at the first entrance sign and park at the main museum and visitors center. The chestnut grove is next to the butterfly garden behind the old caretakers house. We will have water and sandwiches.
