BCMC led work party at Tahuya Sunday Jan. 18, 2026

Sunday, January 18 2026

Volunteers will meet with Bremerton Cruisers Motorcycle Club members in the parking area at the intersection of Belfair Tahuya Rd and Elfendahl Pass Rd at 9:00 am and head to the work area at 9:20 (be prepared for dirt road driving). We try to be back to our vehicles by 2:00 PM and headed towards home.

These will be walk-in work parties (no motorcycles needed). We will be removing overgrown brush from trails using a mix of power tools (Stihl weed wackers and hedge trimmers) and hand tools (loppers and rakes). We have some powertools and can provide hearing protection. Volunteers need to bring work gloves and it is a good idea to have a small pack of some kind to carry water, snacks, and extra fuel if needed (we can provide small fuel bottles).

We typically do not provide food or drink but always have a flat of water in the trailer if anyone needs water.

Kids are allowed to participate but must be accompanied by their parent at the work party.

Joe Stutesman is the club contact (BCMCmember@gmail.com) for this work party.

BCMC work parties happen rain or shine. The only weather that stops us is high winds or extreme cold. Any weather cancellations will be announced by 7 PM the night before the work party is to take place based on the latest forecast.

Thank you for helping maintain the trails of Tahuya State Forest!
