Chico Historian Dave Nopel at the kiosk at Parking Lot E on Upper Park Road. Drive past the observatory and Road and Gun Club, turn left into the parking lot for a hike of discovery along Chico Creek. This is a 3-mile round trip hike from Horseshoe Lake to Bear Hole over rolling and sometimes uneven terrain. If you like, come prepared for an optional dip in Big Chico Creek to cool off! This event is open to all ages.
